the {happiest} place on earth

i haven't really posted about Christmas this year because austin and i decided to give the kids a trip to disney world as their big gift.  i promised my mom that i wouldn't post anything  until we got back (do you KNOW how hard that is for a facebook/instagram gal such as myself!?!?) because i think she's been watching too much dateline lately or something ;)

that being said, we gave the kids a gift bag on Christmas morning that included personalized mickey/minnie shirts and a disney themed snow globe.  as they looked at their new items, austin explained to them that they were going to disney world.  i had the video camera at the ready to record their shrieks of excitement and sheer joy....only to get crickets.  after about 5 minutes of repeating to them that they were really really going to disney, ava finally stood up and asked if she could get back on her horsey now.  talk about taking the wind right outta our sails. 

but over the next few weeks, the more we saw online and the more we talked about it.....the kids started to get excited!  we had a countdown going on the kitchen chalkboard and every day they would make sure that i remembered to change the number.  when it was finally the day before we were going to leave, the reaction that we had dreamed about them having on Christmas morning finally came.

we were going to spend the next 4 days in disney and we were ALL super excited!  because of the vast amounts of pictures and commentary, i am going to break our trip down by each day so that i can document as much as possible of all of our fun!

we are back home now and had the MOST wonderful time!  we are so happy that we were able to give our children this experience and hopefully can go back again in the coming years :)
