hannah woke up this morning with a mission: to ride her bicycle without training wheels. and this time, she MEANT it. i did the whole, "uh huh. okay. we'll see" bit when she said she wanted her daddy to take off the training wheels. you see....we've been down this road before. a couple of times. and it hasn't been pretty. but this time was different.
when i left the house to run some errands, she was imploring her father to turn her bike into a two-wheeler. 2 hours later, i received a text from austin telling me that my girl was riding her bike! i couldn't wait to get home and see for myself.
i have to admit that i was very surprised at how well she did! i figured that she'd wobble along for a few feet and that would be her "riding a bike" experience. but no...my girl rode like she was channeling lance armstrong ;)
austin got her started with her pedals in the right position.....
and after a quick little wobble to the right.....
she was off!! .........
and she never looked back. :)
so it's official....the training wheels are off for good! and a little side note here: hannah asked me NOT to take her picture documenting this momentous occasion because she had been playing on the dirt pile and she wanted to wait until she was cleaned up**. i love that little priss pot :)
**too bad for her i'm a TERRIBLE listener. hehehehe
